IPM hosts the 2025 Africa Green Hydrogen launch at the facility
Isondo hosted the launch of the Africa Green Hydrogen Summit at its own plant, ahead of the main summit in Cape Town.
Following the successful launch of the Africa Green Hydrogen Summit, hosted at Isondo Precious Metals, the sector gathered at our facility in the lead-up to the main event in Cape Town.
Hosting the launch on the factory floor was deliberate. Africa’s green hydrogen conversation has no shortage of strategy documents; what it needs is places where components are actually being made.
Why it was held here
The OR Tambo SEZ facility is the first industrial-scale PGM catalyst and MEA plant in South Africa, and a gazetted Strategic Integrated Project. It is a working demonstration of the localisation the summit exists to promote.
